The complex, enigmatic work of Meret Oppenheim (1913–85) has lost nothing of its allure over time. Much has been written about her career and her art, yet very little is known about the real person behind the persona, who always remained secretive about herself and banned the publication of any personal documents until twenty years after her death. Meret Oppenheim—My Album provides insight into an album she created that was both diary and a work of art in itself. It is now for the first time available with a complete English translation and accompanied by a previously unpublished autobiography.
