Terms and Conditions

 

Applicability

1.) The following Terms and Conditions (Terms) apply for all orders placed via this website in the wording valid at the time of ordering.

2.) The Seller of all goods ordered via this website is Verlag Scheidegger & Spiess AG, Niederdorfstrasse 54, 8001 Zürich, Switzerland (Publisher).

3.) Excepted from clauses 1 and 2 are orders from resellers, e.g. bookshops, for which the Publisher’s distribution and fulfillment partners may act as seller and their respective Terms apply.

 

Prices, Descriptions, Dates

4.) Prices in Swiss Francs (CHF) and Euro (EUR) quoted on this website include the legal value-added tax (VAT) applicable in the respective country of delivery.

5.) Prices in British Pounds (GBP) and US Dollars (USD) quoted on this website do not include any taxes applicable in the country of delivery.

6.) All prices, descriptions, and release dates indicated on this website are subject to change without notice.

 

Importation Costs

7.) For cross-border deliveries additional costs for duty, tax, and administrative fees may become due. These vary subject to local regulation and value and weight of the shipment.

8.) Customs clearance in the country of destination for all goods ordered via this website is the sole responsibility of the recipient of the shipment.

 

Closing, Fulfillment of Contract

9.) With receipt via e-mail of the order by the Publisher and of the order confirmation by the customer the contract is regarded as closed. With dispatch of the shipment by the Publisher or its distribution and fulfillment partners the contract is regarded as fulfilled on the part of the Publisher. The order confirmation also serves as proof of payment; a separate invoice will not be sent.

10.) All orders placed via this website are subject to availability of the chosen items. The Publisher reserves the right to decline or not to fulfill orders without giving any reason.

 

Shipping, Delivery Time

11.) Goods are shipped appropriately packed by post or parcel service at customer’s risk.

12.) Normal delivery time is 2–5 working days within Europe and 5–10 working days to all other countries.

13.) The Publisher cannot accept any liability for late deliveries.

 

Payment

14.) Orders placed through this website will be delivered exclusively against prepayment by credit card or via PayPal.

 

Order Cancellation

15.) Orders can be cancelled at any time, and goods delivered can be returned within 10 days of receipt at the customer’s cost and risk. The return must be accompanied by a printout of the publisher’s order confirmation, the delivery bill or a copy thereof.

16.) Returns must be sent to the sender of the goods as given on the address label or delivery note. The sender’s address on the package or on the delivery bill is decisive.

17.) Reimbursement for goods returned is made only by credit to the credit card or PayPal account used by the customer for the respective payment.

18.) Costs incurred by the Publisher as a result of returning the goods to an address other than the sender address of the delivery specified in clause 16 may be deducted by the Publisher when refunding the purchase price.

 

Defects, False Deliveries

19.) Defective goods, e.g. because of manufacturing flaws or damage, and false deliveries are exchanged without any further costs for the customer, and costs for returning such goods are reimbursed. The return must be accompanied by a printout of the publisher’s order confirmation, the delivery bill or a copy thereof; the document must state the reason for the return.

20.) Returns of defective goods or false deliveries must be sent to the sender of the goods as given on the address label or delivery note. The sender’s address on the package or on the delivery bill is decisive.

21.) Reimbursement due for goods exchanged or returned because of defects or false delivery is made only by credit to the credit card or PayPal account used by the customer for the respective payment.

22.) Costs caused for the Publisher by returning goods to an address other than the address stated in clause 20 may be deducted from any reimbursement due.

 

Undeliverable Shipments

23.) Costs caused for the Publisher by undeliverable shipments, e.g. in case of decline of receipt or non-collection from a collection point at the place of destination, may be deducted from any reimbursement due or charged to the customer in case of a second delivery.

 

Governing Law, Place of Jurisdiction

24.) Contracts closed via this website are governed by Swiss law. Sole place of jurisdiction for any dispute is Zürich, Switzerland.
